Three in a row

No, not days of running, but runs without pain. 5 miles in 37 something minutes on the now familiar Alcatraz-Dwight loop, finishing up with four laps around the tennis courts at Grove Park. Yes, barefoot.

Do you mean the whole run was barefoot, or the laps around the courts? I'm intrigued!

Just at the tennis court. It's clear that most of our evolution as a species happened before we started wearing shoes; some people believe that wearing shoes actually increases our injury risk. I'm not sure about that, but the change in gait definitely exercises some different muscles in my feet and calves, and it's kind of fun. Google "born to run" and ignore the Bruce Springsteen hits if you're still intrigued.
